Economy

IFC simulates a club economy, with coins as its in-game currency: sign players, sell them, and build your squad your way.

What to remember

  • Coins are IFC's in-game currency. Each player, team and organization has a wallet. Their supply is limited, so a coin keeps its value.
  • A contract binds a player to a team: a signing bonus, a weekly salary, a duration and a release clause. The captain offers it, the player signs. A player has one active contract per game edition.
  • Salaries are paid by hand each week, or debited automatically. Unpaid salaries let the player leave for free, or end the contract. A release clause sets the buy-out price.
  • A transfer recruits a player under contract elsewhere: the buying club offers a fee and a new contract, the selling club accepts the fee (without seeing the player's terms), and the player has the last word. No coin moves until the player accepts.
  • The treasury shows a team's or an organization's balance, its history and the salaries to come.

Good to know

  • A player under contract plays for one team only.
  • Only the captain sees the team's treasury; an organization's wallet is for its owner.
  • A player at the end of their contract can be signed for free.
  • Competitions with coins: an organization can set an entry fee, a deposit (returned at the end, lost on withdrawal) and a reward for the winner. A team added by the organizer pays nothing until it confirms.
